BKT TRADECON is a pipeline laying and construction company, originating from New Delhi with operations across the whole Indian territory. Established 15 years ago, the business holds a key position in the industry with respect to City Gas Distribution, the lifeline of clean fuel in the country.
Pipeline laying refers to the process of installing pipes, typically underground or underwater, to transport materials such as oil, gas, water, or other fluids. There are different methods of pipeline laying depending on the environment, including onshore (land) and offshore (sea) techniques. BKT Tradecon currently has specialized with On-shore installation, which encompassed famous techniques like HDD and trenching.
It is a highly specialized activity, requiring attention to environmental, geological, and safety considerations. These installations include other than fluids, cables for electricity and 4G/5G networks, crucial inputs to developing infrastructure, especially in a rapidly growing country. In addition, BKT also contributes through other verticals, offering O&M services for PNG/CNG, Optical Fibre Cable laying, and EPC projects, further supporting national growth.

:: Foundations 2005-2009
Founded in 2005 with Brijesh Kumar Tripathi, BKT initially focused on Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) networking projects for companies like Airtel, Reliance, and Vodafone. After gaining four years of experience in cable pipeline projects, the company sought further expansion and, in 2009, shifted its focus to the rapidly growing City Gas Distribution sector across India’s tier I, II, and III cities. During this time, Tripathi teamed up with C.A. Harish Kumar Mittal, with a history of successful industrial business operations with a sharp financial strategy acumen.

BKT operates through a well-established network of sub-contractors, whom they have consistently nurtured to develop expertise in handling complex and high-value projects. This collaborative approach, emphasizing economic benefits for all parties along with a strong focus on protection and insurance, has allowed BKT to expand its operations across 14 states, working with all major City Gas Distribution companies and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
